Default No more Red Liine oil purchases for me from Amazon

Today I noticed that Amazon.com's price is now $20.85 for one quart of RL 20/50. The former price was always bad enough, but at least shipping was free on Amazon. I am not able to buy RL oils locally so I must shop online. Does anyone on this board know of a retailer that offers free shipping for RL oil at a reasonable price?

Thank you.

Since your obviously a guy that likes to run a quality syn in the motor Below you will find info & link to a better priced high quality line of oil specifically designed & formulated to properly address the somewhat diff lube requierments of an HD's Motor/prim case/Trans.

I only showed info on the motor oil but you will also find oil for 6spd trans and primary case too along with a 2nd oil choice specifically designed & formulated for HD's thats a Semi-blend 20-50.

I have been running spcetro motorcycle oil in my bikes for yrs with great results.

I order online in 5 mins & is shows up @ my door a few days later, just ensure your being proactive by ordering the oil a least 3-4days before you need it.

Note, dont order on Sat or Sun that will be 1-2 days lost because it will likely not be shipped till Monday afternoon,i found ordering Sunday evening or 1st thing Monday Am to be best case.

Happy Motoring!

Scott

Wow, sounds like the Amzoil insanity I got sucked into a few years back. I would evaluate the benefits of an oil that expensive...how much is too much gents?

For $113 you can get 5 quarts, a quart of trans and a quart of primary, funnel and nice hat...lol, shipped, via Amazon Prime.
That means I have an extra quart of oil as well (as should the OP w/ his 06)

Keep trying and searching. Two weeks ago I paid about $15 per quart. Order was thru Amazon, but it was a reseller, not Amazon itself. I see right now there are several offering the oil with included shipping for a bit over $16, not sure what your "I'm Out" price cutoff is.

Red Line itself is still charging $14.95 per quart on their website, so it was not a price increase from Red Line driving this.
Too bad you have to order $150 worth of product from them to get shipping included.

Mobil 1 is a good deal but my tranny and primary run somewhat quieter in RL.

OP:

Alternatives:

Motor: Mobil 1 Syn 20/50 V-Twin (~1,600 ppm of ZPPD), or M1 Syn 15W/50 (~$26 for 5qt jug at Walmart / 1,200-1,300 ppm of ZPPD)

Primary: Formula 1 or any good quality 10W/40 without friction modifiers

Tranny: Valvoline Syn 75W90 or 75W/140 Gear oil, or comparable.

The money you save can go toward other pleasures...
