This should be another simple questionthread that goes way the fock off on a tangent. Like my derby cover/floorboard question did.But here goes. With 3 1/2 qts dip stick reading is low. Put in 4 on hot engine and I think its a little above full-hard to tell yhe dipstick is close tothe same color as the clean oil. Whatta you guys put in? 05 Electra classic

 

99Road Glide all 4 for me.

 

On my 07 Ultra I rode to warm up drained changed oil filter and added 4 quarts. Right on full mark.

Me too. But is says initially add 3.5-I guess then keep adding until its at thefull mark.

 

Me 3 My manual says 4 qts with filter change.

 

I buy my Amsoil 20W-50 by the gallon. I just pour in the gallon and it's good to go. Perfect every time... '05 Electra Glide with oil cooler.

 

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the 07 96" motors running hard...going to Sturgis last year on my 06 RK, when I filled up to the line (hot), I got blow-by from the A/C; I'd find oil droplets on my right bag. When I ran at the 1/2 mark (hot), it never spit any out. I've been reluctant to fill all the way since then.

 

With the bike on the kickstand,on level ground,cool motor, and to what the dipstick reads.3 1/2 qts or so.
