Default Pro Action shocks

OK for a year now I have been wrestling with the idea of changing rear shocks. I have a 2015 Road King Morocco gold pearl. Bought the over priced
air pump so i could adjust and keep air in these stock shocks. No matter where I set the pressure I could not find a happy spot. Finally after saving up a lot of beans I woke up late on a Monday after working night turn and said to my wife I gotta at least find out. Lucky for me their shop is only a 10 min ride from where I live. Honestly I had a hard time believing it would be that different. I read a lot of threads here about other peoples opinions on shocks and the choices that are out there make it difficult. Anyway....George and Dj put the shocks on the bike, wife and I went for the test ride. I aimed and hit every bump and man hole cover I could, which would normally my wife would be saying Ugh! that sucked! Not once. I was in disbelief of how awesome the ride and the handling had become. Will I miss my $$$? Yes but I will not miss those crappy air shocks. If any one is unhappy with stock shocks I recommend at least trying these shocks, you will not be disappointed. Just turned over 10thou miles by the way. It's a whole new bike to ride.

Very happy with mine as well.
People need to realize, when there is a 2 to 3 inch bump, pot hole, etc, you are going to feel it, it's impossible for a shock with 3 inches of travel to completely soak that up.... it's the other abnormalities that it shines on.
George called me and we talked for about 20 minutes plus.
When I had a few hundred miles on mine, I called and talked to DJ for a few fine adjustments.
Where mine really shine is 2 up riding.

I changed the oil in my stockers. I even removed the air tubing and put the schrader valve on each shock, played with different air settings per shock...it never felt great. Better, not great.

Happy with my Pro Action.
Now...you'll realize how the front end is a little lacking...lol. That's the curse with fixing the back end.

Another happy customer here. Based on my past non-harley bikes I was an Ohlin's guy and I still do believe that they are top notch but wanted to give Pro Action a try based on their off road reputation. My experience was the same as the OP. Great people to work with and a very high quality product.

As far as ride goes I was very impressed. I thought how much can you do with 3" of travel on a 900lb bike. The overall feel of the bike was very tight and controlled. The damping adjustment was very welcome on dialing them in. This is where the stock shocks really suck. After about 1000 miles they really broke in and required a slight adjustment and now I just love them but where the real compliments come from is the back seat. My girlfriend just loves them. If anyone asks if they are worth the money I just tell them to ask her.
