My 06 Ultra falls under the service bulletin for the 25 degree injector replacement but the dealer acts as though they do not want to take care of it. I still have to 8 degree injectors. I told them that I have to usually let the bike warm up a couple of minutes or it spits and sputters when I take off. He says that the bulletin covers more of a driveability issue when the bike is warm. Does anybody that has done the change have any issues or informationregarding the change? Did it help richen up the bike to run cooler?

 

I'm having mine switched shortly at my 10k service.After the switch I'm going to have anotherdyno done to update theSERTmap.The dealer asked me similarquestions and I was getting annoyedso I told him it runs rough at startup,while I'm riding and even after I park itin the garage. He got the point and said to bring it in.

 

I had my injectors changed over to the 25* injectors and my bike runs great now. It would do what you described but the clincher was when it stalled when trying to enter traffic. Told my dealer and they swapped them out, no questions asked. It's your safety and they should not be giving you a hard time about the swap. The MoCo pays for it.

My 06 SG fell under the bulletin. My dealer changed out the injectors after I told them that the bike would sputter and sometimes stall when pulling out into traffic. The bike has run MUCH better since the swap - it is how it should be now. If your dealer won't do it you should find one that will.

 

Were these injectors only on the early 06s. I'm not sure if I have them or not???

 

I put a copy online for all who need it. Be sure to print or save it because it will only be up for a couple of days. There is no good reason for the dealer to be screwing with your safety like that. I had mine changed and it makes all the difference in the world when cold starting.

They started putting the 25° injectors in around the middle of Feb. 2006.

P.S. In case anyone wants to make the ° (degree symbol) just hold down the "alt" key and type in 248, it'spart ofthe extended ASCII set.

call HD cust service and give them the name of the dealer that is beating around the bush. you're injectors will suddenly be installed. odds are they will call you.......
