Default HD Map for decatted pipe

Have a new to me 2010 Ultra. Just bought a decatted head pipe. The bike already has a full HD stage 1 - SE Exhaust and Breather and HD map. Does HD have a map for this or will I need an aftermarket fuel computer? How much does a map download cost?

I did full stage 1 on my old bike but ripped and replaced all 3 parts so not familiar with HD maps at all.

I would look for a map from another source as HD's maps have to be EPA compliant and they are not going to give you the fuel you need. You have a SERT, yes?
I use the DynaJet Power Commander 5 and the map downloads are free from their website.

definitely look into a fuel controller. then if you ever change slip ons or air cleaners you can find a custom map instead of having to drop cash at the dealer. should run better as well, imho.

Thanks - that is what I thought. My last one was from Fuel Moto and I was very happy with it.

i have a 2016 streetglise special with a HO 103, installed Rineharts 4inch slip ons, stage 1 air cleaner with decatted headpipe, dealer did the stage 1 download, bike runs great , less heat and nicer sound, doesnt look to run lean as i have some soot on the tips of mufflers, i will save my money and not buy a tuner,

How did you flash the ECM with the FuelMoto tune?

If you have a tuning device from FuelMoto, you should have lifetime map support!

OK - now I am back to confused. What is a SERT? Not familiar with the term.

On my old bike I unplugged two cables, plugged the Fuel Moto tuner (which came pre-programmed) between the cables and I was good to go. I am missing something here and part of it may be that the 2002 Ultra (which is totaled) did not even use HD maps. If possible I would like to go this very simple route again.

You dont need to do anything with a Decatt.
If anything your AFR might be a little bit more rich or no change at all according to Nightrider the maker of XIEDs.
The reason being, once you decatt, it allows a little bit more air into the exhaust near the O2 sensors, the bike will compensate and add a little more fuel.

Most are concerned, decatting relieves back pressure and therefor may lean out the mixture. That is not going to happen under any circumstance. The O2 sensor will make the adjustment to the proper AFR and with some luck might actually move the AFR from 14.6:1 to 14.3:1.

With the above said, this doesnt mean I am saying to not use a controller, just answering the question if you need too with a decatt.
I dont use a controller, have no problem with anyone who does, I do have non adjustable XIEDs on which brings the AFR to around 14.0:1
For the heck of it, I sometimes take them off on trips to see if any difference. Maybe runs a TINY bit better at dead idle and parking lot speeds. They DO STOP the back of my right lower leg from turning sunburn red under extreme conditions which is how I know they do slightly enrich the mixture.
I have confirmed this by running them and then running with them off. 2 times so far and about to try it one more time. The reason I still play around with them is I dont want something on the bike that doesnt do anything, meaning I try to keep things stock, love the way it runs but it does seem to make a small diff. Cost is about 2 to 3 MPG. I get 38 to 40 with them, 40 to 43 without them on.

I guess I should clarify something...
I did not flash the ECM with a Fuel Moto tune. I had the FM Micro Tune which they pre-programmed for the setup on the old bike. I really don't care about doing my own tuning or having to go get the bike Dyno tuned. IMHO the FM system I had met this criteria. There was nothing to download or tweak - just plug and play. And ride.

I would call Fuel Moto, personally I think you should consider the Micro Tuner.

Its affordable, and you get lifetime map support.
