Here's a link to the inner primary bearing on Bakers web site. It fits 1985-2007 big twins. They say it's for high torque applications to stop the problem of the inner race walking on the shaft. I replaced the one on my wife's bike with it because the stock one was making noise and I had installed a 98 inch big bore. I figured as long as I'm changing it I'd go with the high torque bearing just to be on the safe side.
Thanks skydude. I was on the Baker website an hour ago and couldn't navigate to this page. Looks like this is the way to go. Even though I'm nowhere near pushing 100 ponies, it should ensure a very solid link in the drivetrain.

If you have the race puller, why not go with the S&S improved inner primary race that's tapered and use a roller bearing? That seems like a better solution. The only disadvantage I can see is the cost and every time you pull the race, you would need to change it.

I wanted to change the whole bearing not just the race. The lip on the S&S race will stop it from walking inboard, but it what's to stop it from walking outboard and causing a primary fluid leak?

Along with installing the S&S race, one would also install a new roller bearing. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I did a bit of research and haven't found one post on any forum where the race walked outboard. Have you seen that?
And if you're really concerned about the bearing moving outboard, I've read on another forum where you can install a couple of snap rings to prevent that from ever happening.

I have no idea if one has walked outboard or not. I won't have that problem as the Baker bearing won't walk either direction. Now when I finally build up my 103 in my 2012, the S&S race might be the way to go.
