Default Lowers off in summer

I recently took my lowers off again this yr and I must say that anyone who doesn't take them off to feel cooler riding is doing themselves a disservice. I have the quick disconnect and it takes 5 mins to take off or put on. I am doing a Hog Weekend coming up in VT and will ride up with them on and if it's going to be 82+ out I will take them off for the daytrips.
Try it, what can you loose.

I just bought and installed mine. I don't wanna take 'em off yet!

Mine flow tons of air. Installed mainly to reduce buffeting and I've been doing a lot of highway miles lately. Plus a spot for more speakers!

Hot air at 60+ mph does not cool anyone off... I put lowers on to get rid of buffeting, have a place to mount speakers, keep some weather off and keep some hot and cold air off me. They stay on all the time...

This is my first bike with lowers, still getting used to them.
It will be nice to have dry feet when I get to work though.
If we ever get summer I may look into what it takes to remove them.
The speaker idea has already crossed my mind.

Don't forget to remove the clear thing! This is how I ride in the summer. I put the lowers with quick disconnects (highly recommended), and the tourpak for coats and things, and the clear thing goes back on.

Living in the Tidewater area, with temps and humidity in the
upper 90. Its a given, take them off. But tell me about the
quick disconnects, as they would be nice in the winter...tenn

Quick disconnects are avalible from the dealerships and aftermarket. Just google. I got mine from the classifieds here for like $40.
They replace the hardware and use thumb type screws.

I keep mine on 24/7. Just bought a 2016 RGS. Ordered the color matched that day. A lot more wind management like others have said. I ride all the time so getting caught in the rain it's a plus having them.

These are them here. Makes install and removal of the lowers in about 5-minutes w/o tools.

As mentioned, you can get them elsewhere for cheaps. Just make sure all parts are included if going with fleabay.
