Adjusted my clutch at the beginning of the season (Turn in until contact, back out half turn, tighten down) and set the free play in the cable accordingly.
I want to move the friction zone closer to the handlebars a little bit.
I understand it must disengage and engage completely.
My question is, when I go to adjust it, cold, is it less than a 1/2 turn out from contact or more?
3/4 of a turn would bring it out further. At least thats how I see it.
That's what I was thinking as well, So I need to go less than 1/2 turn to get it to engage closer to the bar (pulled all the way in).
That's what I'm looking for.. Quicker engagement from pulled in.
Maybe I am not saying what I mean very well. 3/4 of a turn should have the engagement zone further IN to the grip. Closer in would have been a better way for me to say it.

I think the Allen screw on the clutch park adjusts the width of the friction zone.
The cable adjustment sets how close to the grip it is. If you loosen it a little ( add a little slop to the able). It should move the friction zone closer to the grip.
Far as i know each adjustment does the same thing. I set the 3/4 at the clutch first then set the free play at the lever to suit me. I cannot see how the adjustment at the basket could change the width of the friction zone. Heck there is a ton of stuff for me to learn, so maybe someone could explain how it would.
3/4 would bring the lever closer to the bar. I set mine to 3/4 as I like my clutch (Friction Zone) engaging closer to the bar. People get confused as its opposite from what you might think.
