Default Radio problems

Hey guys looking for some suggestions on things that I can check before I break down and take my bike in to the shop to have it looked at.

2003 Electra Glide Classic

The radio lights up, will go into the diagnostic screen but wont turn on. I can change the time (it also keeps the time) but it just wont turn on. Just wondering if there is something I can check. It seems weird that it does everything else

Thanks

Talk to Iron Cross Audio, they'll help you out and will likely be way cheaper than the dealer.

the 2003 radio is a radio sound unit. iron cross does not work on them. 2006 began the hk radio.

I don't have a wiring diagram for your bike but I wonder if you could have a bad fuse. Some radios have 2 fuses. One that is constant power for memory & clock and another that is switched (usually with the ignition switch) to power on the radio. Just a guess but easy to check and cheaper than going to the shop. My service manual for my 2002 FLHTCUI show 2 fuses RDO PWR & RDO MEM.

I know the radios are different 2002=cassette, 2003=CD but I believe they were both made by the same vender, Radio Sound.

I had a 2002 Ultra Classic that I think had a similar radio. Occasionally a button on the face off the radio would stick and prevent anything from working. I wouldn't be able to change the volume or even turn the radio off.

Thanks guys for the suggestions I'll look into it. I did check all of the fuses in the fuse block. Are there any that aren't in there?

JYD83....did you ever resolve this issue? I have a 2003 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with the same problem.
