It's more of an observation than a complaint, but why do Harley's, especially touring, need to have such a lean when on the stand? I feel the need to be very careful not to add to that lean with a soft or uneven surface, as righting the bike again can be challenging. I noticed my buddy's Goldwing stands much straighter up on the stand.

Used to bother me when I first got into Harley's but after parking in many different locations I now appreciate the lean angle. I did once park on a dirt road and had to have my buddy give me a push to get it upright and off of the stand (bike was loaded up for a trip), never did that again: still better than finding your bike laying on the ground.

Maybe guys who have been into HD's for a long time wonder why do other bikes stand so upright looking like the wind could blow it over

Not sure the why on the lean angle, but turn your front wheel to the right. Easier to right the bike.

Thanks, something I will give a try. More than once I've needed a buddy to give me a budge up.

What year is your bike? My'09 had a service bulletin that replaced the bracket if a customer complained about it. Originally my '09 Ultra leaned really far over. After the bracket replacement it was a lot better. It's still a heavy bike but I turn the bars to the left and use them to help lift.

I put a +1 kickstand on my 15 limited and it makes things a lot easier.

My '04 FLHTCUI got stood upright by a strong wind right in front of the dealership and then settled back down on her kickstand as the wind subsided. I'm happy it leans that much.

Having had more than one Honda fall over because it was so upright on the kickstand, I'm not complaining about how the Harley leans onto its kickstand.

Having had to park my Limited Low on a sloped road shoulder I appreciate the lean angle.

Harley knows what their doing, learn to live with and adapt to the little quirks.
