Clutch cable brands
Those who have experience with aftermarket coated braided stainless clutch cables, what is an outstanding brand? Magnum Shielding? Barnett? Something different?
I have put 2 cables on my bike and both, although packaged by different companies (Bikers Choice, Motion Pro) are the same cable and I suspect are imported, but do not know for sure. On both cables they leak transmission oil out between the cable housing and the fitting that connects to the transmission side cover. NOT the seal at the cover and fitting, but where the fitting and cable come together. I am not going to put a 3rd on so I have to do it again next year. its a lot of hard work replacing the cable on my bike.
I am wanting to go for a high quality cable that I will not have to worry about leaks or other problems. If anyone has experience with these clutch cables, please share, thanks.

The Hill Country Custom supplied cable was the first one to leak. The replacement also leaked, which is why I need to switch brands. I have no idea why I cannot get these cables to not leak oil out. I am guessing the way the fitting is clamped to the housing it leaves gaps for the oil to push out.

I cleaned mine good and applied a little bit of hi-temp silicone to the area were the cable is fit into the steel fitting and leak stopped 3,000 miles ago. Did same thing to the spare cable I have hanging on the wall just in case.

I have the Diamondback from HD, The only thing I didn't like is it's only braided down to the adjuster. I thought it went all the way. When I got it I thought WTF I got ripped off lol, But it Has worked well, No leaking and no sign of wear. I got it to go with the HD SE Diaphram spring just in case my stock cable being a couple years old and adding that much more Pull/Weight migh be too much for it.
