Default LED Tail Light with Strobing Brake Light

I just installed an LED tail light with strobing brake light on my 15 RGS from Fast Lights, it's actually a Radiantz tail light I think.

It looks awesome and works great but I'm getting the red security light on my speedo gauge when I hit the brakes, stays on while the strobe functions then goes out when the brake light goes solid.

A couple of times it stayed on for a few minutes then went out.

I know it has to do with the can bus system but will it ever go away?

Anyone had this? Is there a fix?

I have the BRIGHTASSLIGHT tail light and I just plugged it in and it worked with no problem. I know the newer lights are designed to work with the can bus system.

Clear any codes and try a setting with normal break flash instead of strobe. If that works fine you may be stuck with it. Bus is likely seeing no brake light at some point during strobe mode.

On another note, have heard some states frown on strobe type lighting on anything other than emergency vehicles.

Or..... you may need a load equalizer. The computer is picking up that a bulb is burned out, which is not the case, but the circuitry is reading an open, which is what LED's can do.....

No personal experience, but from what I've read I thought the canbus bikes weren't supposed to need load equalizers for LEDs?

Would the "run the emergency 4 way flashers for a while" trick work here to retrain the computer, or is that only for LED turn signals?

I installed LEDs and Custom Dynamics Magic Strobe controller, ran the flashers for a couple minutes and everything has been fine since.

I'm being told the can bus system is bringing on the warning light because when the brake light is flashing it thinks there is a bulb out due to the low or possibly varying current draw.

They say it will clear in time, I guess I wait and see.
