Buying a "new-to-me" 2010 Ultra Limited

I don't know if others have brought it up, but this generation of bikes is being probed by the NHTSA for possible (and I say possible) issues with the ABS system. One assertion is the issue is associated with owners not servicing/flushing the brake system every two years. To that end, I had mine flushed last week ($160).
As to a pump, I carry a 12 volt pump, but have never used it. When traveling I will throw in a tire plug set, but thankfully have not used it.
I am guessing you have a battery maintainer hookup and charger. I plug mine in every night hoping to prolong the life of the battery. Have done it on all of my bikes for the last 8 years or so.

That may not work in my case. I was looking at the back wheels and it appears that the black part has already started flaking/chipping away from not being cleaned by the previous owner. At this point, I'm not going to fuss overly about it and when I find a replacement wheel, I'll make sure they're taken care of.

Thank you. And btw, that air pressure I was referring to want the tire pressure . It was the air pressure for the rear shocks. I have the rear tire aired to 40psi and the front at 35psi as per the manual. The rear shock is at 30psi for now but will bump it to 40 when the wife rides with me.

Yeah, I'll probably give them a call and see if the fluid was flushed when they changed the pads - my guess is not, but like you said - no harm in asking.

The battery thing is just one of those "might as well" things. I am sure there are electrical/chemical engineers who can say if there is any benefit with keeping an AGM battery always charged (well I think it is an AGM, not sure now).
I believe we have the same paint schemes for our 2010 Ultra Limiteds.
My main changes were going to LED tail and turn lights and of course an LED headlight and passing lamps. I added the harness the turned the tour pak lights into turn and brake signals as well and add the hd power plug to the trunk. Bike already had a stage one setup. I had to have my seat cut down by Mean City Cycles to help accommodate my desire to touch the ground comfortably (along with lower the bike 1 inch).

I'll be looking into the LED conversion sometime and would love to do what you have already done - especially the LED headlight and passing lamps. What brand did you go with on those and was it hard to do?
PS: Whereabouts in Texas are you located at? I'm in Lawton - about 45 minutes from Wichita Falls, TX
PPS: Just noticed that you have a GPS mounted as well; how do you have the power connection for it? Cigarette lighter adapter? Wiring harness?

I am essentially straight down the toll road, then texas 16 in Kerrville. We would travel through Lawton frequently going to Kansas City.
I am using the truck-lite approach for my front lights. Harley stuff for the tail lights. The truck-lites are a lot cheaper (about $300 for the whole setup, plus you need to buy an accent ring for the headlight as it sticks out some). There are some spin-offs of the Harley Daymakers that I might seriously consider now. I have no gripes about the truck-lite LED headlight with the minor issue of the very horizontal light (noticed mostly when turning).
I have been using the same old Garmin for some time with the suction mount stuck to the tach face plate for many thousands of miles on this bike and my previous bike. Never has fallen off. I use the factory plug on the inner fairing for power.
