Depending on mileage Id think this would be an important question on any year before the tensioner issue was fixed.

I'm pretty sure the cam tensioner issue was fixed in 07.

I'm not trying to knock anyones ride, just giving my opinion on what I would be looking for. I'm sure there are plenty of those years with many happy miles and never a problem, but I have heard of enough issues to try to avoid them.

Happy riding!

Get an 09 or up. That new frame with the 180 rear. The 09 I had is to this day the best riding Harley I've ever been on.

Ive been thinking about selling my 2005 FLHRCI to buy a new one. I have upgraded the cam chain tensioners to the new style one with the Screaming Eagle kit along with 95 inch flat tops Screaming Eagle 203 Cams, Vance and Hines Pro Pipe Arlen Ness Big Sucker Scottsman Heads, and ThunderMax Tuner. Harley Custom Color Shop Paint with hard bags. I would ride this bike anywhere. Like to get 9K out of it.

Why would one need to do this for a 2007?
It's the first year of the TC96 engine with -hydraulic- cam chain tensioners.

If it was an '06, that question would be required.
Not so for an '07.

$6,500 for a fast sell, $7,500 if you are willing to sit on it. There are a lot of 88 RKs sitting out there for less than $7,500. You might get $500 for the Harley Custom Paint, but the rest of the mods don't help. And the value will typically drop another $1000 in August because it is near the end of riding season and introduction of 2017s.

Describe your engine mods only as a Screaming Eagle Performance Upgrade. That sounds more factory and professional, where as listing all the parts sounds like personal hot rodding. You can provide the whole list to interested callers.

Lots of pictures in the sun to show off the Custom paint.
