I have the SE 4" Street Cannon mufflers. 50 states street legal, quiet enough to listen to the radio and sound great with that deep throaty sound. They are straight thru muffler. I think they are made by Vance & Hines.

I had Stage 1 completed and new exhaust. Way too loud for my delicate ears. I had Screaming Eagle exhaust added and they are perfect. Deep sound when you get on it, but very little noise in cruise. I love them!

Pretty quiet just cruising along, but hit a little grade where you have to give it just a touch of fuel and they sound terrible. It would drive you nuts after about 3 or 4 hours. Oh, I've got a SE 255 cam in my bike and it was suggested that might be the reason mine were a little more loud and annoying than those on a stock bike.
X2
I dont have a drone but after a few hours last saturday, it seemed louder.. I think i just got tired of it and hot.. Not bad crusing but put a load on the engine and it has that bap, bap, bap noise. Was thinking then about putting my stock takeoff back on. 2012 limited w 4000 miles, fuel moto stage 1, running powervision.

I use the modified stock mufflers from Fulsac Performance. They have an option of installing a new core in the stock muffler... I have the 1.75" core and it is quiet with a nice low rumble compaired to stock.

Gonna throw a wrench into this. I love exhaust, it's my favorite thread topic. I've had 2 Harley's and on my second set of slip ons for my SG (S&S header). I've battled the whole thing of wanting a good sounding deep exhaust, yet retaining my ability to tour without loud pipes for a bit now. Last night I rode with a buddy who has the Cobra race pro 4" and I've got to say, WOW. This might be the perfect match for someone wanting good exhaust sound, but still wanting to tour. I'm heavily looking into the switch...and I wasn't a huge Cobra fan before I heard these. Always thought they were for the metrics, no offense.

I see more and more of this type of thread. All I can say is my stock mufflers went back on a few months ago, and they ain't coming off any time soon. For what????? Keep your 4 freakin' horsepower. Happy cruising for me.

Here here! I've had about a half dozen sets of pipes on the FLTRSEI over the years, and all were 2 into 1's and deliver the power accordingly. The determining factor now has been how my ears feel after an all day run up I-95 from Daytona to the house. White Bros' (Now FuelMoto,) E Series and Supertrapp get the nod.

(My wife doesn't care for the sound (doesn't sound like a 'real' bike,) but then she doesn't own it or ride it either.

Check out Crusher Mellows. Sold by Kuryakyn and made by Vance and Hines
They have a nice deep rumble but pretty quiet compared to many of the others
mentioned. Well constructed and great for all day touring.
