Default "U1095" diagnostic code

Hello,

My bike is a 2012 RK.

Riding today and the ABS light came on and stayed on. When I got home, I checked for codes using the speedo and the only code was a "U1095" under the "b" (ABS) section. Makes sense to me so far - the ABS light had came on and there was a code under the "b" (ABS) section.

This is my first experience with diagnostic codes. I have the HD electrical diagnostic manual for my bike but U1095 isn't listed. I also searched here and the internet, but still couldn't find it. In my searching I did come across a "C1025" code, but on my speedo that first letter sure looked like a "U" to me: Two vertical lines with a horizontal line underneath between them.

I cleared the code and started the bike and let it run for a minute. I checked for codes again and there were none. ABS light blinked as usual at startup.

Next, I restarted the bike and went for a 15 minute ride. The ABS light blinked as usual at bike startup and went out after I got rolling. The ABS light didn't come on during this ride. When I got home, I checked for codes and there were none.

I have two questions I'm hoping someone can help answer:

1. What is a U1095 code?

2. Since after the second ride the code didn't reappear and the ABS light had stayed off, should I still be concerned?

Thanks and ride safe!

You might want to bleed your brakes and get the old fluid out and replace with new if you haven't bled them in over 2 years. There's a lot of recent chatter about HD brakes failing when in fact it's the abs module failing and there is no bypass when it fails...and no brakes either. HD is saying that there may be corrosion inside the abs module causing this issue...go figure.
