longest one day run
#32
Coming back from Gatlinburg (FLSTS rally), I rode from Platte City, MO (just north west of Kansas City) to Billings, MT. 18 hours, and just a tad over 1100 miles. Needed to make up a bit of time as I had a rear wheel bearing go on me in Cookeville, TN (closed on the Monday, towed into Nashville) which slowed down my progress.

I have riden many Bikes. The funny thing is that I have ridden my sportster just as many one day miles as my touring bike(street glide). I just wondered what is the most miles that you have ridden in one day? It is only a question, do not take it as a proving ground how manly you are. I have know men and women that have ridden the U.S. in all sorts of two wheels. It is only a question? If you asked me this question my totall miles in one day is 732 from tenn to daytona,fl.

at 18 rode from nm to tenn 800 sense then only thing close was in march about 800 mile twice going to daytona for bike week at 44. Back rest, lowers, fat hwy pegs,cruise,radio..ect made a big difference. You dont realise how much these things help untill you use them. In march the adjustable back rest saved me when i got a sharp pain in lower back and was able to adjust forward for awhile til cramp/pain subsided. upuntil then was not shure if adj backrest was usefull. I bet "good custom" seat would really work out for you bryan. good luck

530 miles. When we moved from SoCal, I rode the big twin. The mover hauled the other two. At about the 450 mark, I developed that tingling thumb that lasted for months. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not the tingling…the ride. Veterans Hwy north out of Mesquite NV was tough. One lane half way up…15/20mph. First time I ever experienced overheating.

I think it is because when you get to the last page of a thread; old threads show up. If not paying attention you reply to the old thread.
By the way, did my 1,068 miles (Baltimore to Florida) for my saddlesore 1,000 in 2019 at age 72. Did the same ride last year; did not apply for saddlesore.
Rode down last week, did 725 miles in one day and stayed over for the night. Wasn't tired, just did not feel like riding at night.
