Buddy's bike. He's owned it since 1973. Sorry, pics were taken on a rainy day....

Finally made it through all the post, great thread, and loved all the pics of the Classic Electra's! I have 2, a 2004 and a 2015...I like the '15, but my '04 is my 1st bike and will always be my favorite....its like that old comfortable tennis shoe, I just can't get rid of.

The Electra Glide appeal is still strong. My favorite since the beginning. Great Post!

Thanks for this Thread, I had a 1980, 80 cu, Electra Glide , I loved that pogo seat, If I can remember Correctly it was the first year of pointless (CDI) Ignition system.
She was a great Shake and Break EG, now I have a 2013 EG Electra Glide Ultra Classic Shake and break, For what I'v been told the new EG's are not Shake and Break any more.
The Shake and Break was the nickname of the shovelhead EG
The 1980 EG had a 8 track Tape in the fairing with a Elvis Presley in it when I bought it.
1980 EG shovelhead

1980 EG shovelhead with Bubs exhaust

2006 Heritage No Shake and Break, it was smooth as Silk, Cause of hwy Buffeting this 65 year old had to go back to 2013 EG Shake and Break

2013 EG Ultra Classic Shake and Break, but no buffeting, and smooth on the hwy

My 1966...not completely original, but I'm always dicking with it. I'll likely be putting the original swing arm back on, but I'm keeping the disc brakes. Maybe change the handlebars along with period correct switches.

I would love to have a bike from that era to match my birth year
