Can't you just take the pipes apart and ram a rod up into the cat to break up the ceramic? I only ask because that is how I use to do it in my cars back in the day.
I'd cut a window. There are some that will take a core cutter and cut a hole through them.
Cutting a window and removing the cat was fairly easy. I do have a welder and done it myself. I taped up the outlets, filled the pipe with water to check for leaks in the weld.
Thanks guys. Just dropped the cash on the tuner and AC so I may wait a bit on the power duals. Heard some good things about de-cating the stock pipe too but dont have the ability to do it myself as far as the welding goes.
Stock cat-less head pipe can be found on EBay for $125. That's where I got mine. Guy cuts the pipe, removes cat, puts on jig and welds it up...looks factory.

It's not ceramic, it's some kind of honeycombed metal and it's a bear to get out even with cutting a window. Ramming something into the end of the pipe could collapse some of the honeycomb and DECREASE flow.
I had SE air box, SE Street Cannons, and SERT added to my 2016 RG when I purchased it. Decent sound and ran great BUT a lot of heat!!! I ordered Fuelmoto's Jackpot 2x1x2 stainless headpipe and a Power Commander V from them as well and just installed them. BIG difference with heat reduction and really woke those Street Cannons up!!! Based on ***-to-seat opinion, MUCH better performance. Going to forego dyno tuning for now as I'm happy with where it is right now.
Most defintely a lower temp on right calf for my wife and/or daughter. Good thing i did it when it was cooler; cant imagine what 108 feels like for them when we ride. Yes FM helped out too with the PV2 and high flo cleaner
