The best sunglasses have impact safety. There is a standard. You also want UV protection and polarization. The standard for impact is ansi Z87. So brands Wiley X, SOS Mongoose, 7 eye,Smith high performance and Serengeti are some of the best.

All of you saying Oakley Flak Jackets...dont you have issues with the wind coming up underneath them??? If you try Split Jackets, Wind Jackets, and Jawbones you will be way better off....its the same exact lens quality but with far better wind protection...

I have a pair of prescription Oakley Holbrook's with Oakley photochromic Lenses also ... Best it had so far .. I don't like the glasses with foam since I sweat so much, they fog up on me all the time.

Wiley-X I wear the Wiley's on the bike but usually carry around a second pair of designer frames(Ray-Ban,Armani,etc.) for when I am off the bike. I am not a huge fan of wrap arounds which is why I carry the second pair, but for on the bike nothing beats the wrap around style.

And just a note on non motorcycle sunglasses. Most are made by the same company and same company own the stores you buy them from. For example Sunglass Hut...Luxottica owns the store and makes every brand they carry. Ray-Ban, Oakley,etc.....all the same company.

Wiley-X are also my favorite to wear, the Air Rage and Arrow are my 2 favorite pair that I got from "Rx-Safety". Best thing to do is shop around and ask the educated.

I like my Revo. I would never buy a pair that were not polarized.
