Default Question to Heated Hammock seat owners

I searched the forum but nothing came up for my question. I have the heated Hammock seat on my Road King and I'm not sure it is operating properly. When I had the heat on high during one particularly cold morning and it eventually got so hot I had to turn it to the low setting. I recently went out on a mild but not cold morning and thought a little heat would be nice so I again turned it to high. The seat warmed up nicely but did not get nearly as hot as it did before. Leaving it on high was fine for the whole ride.

Now I don't know if the seat is malfunctioning or if perhaps there's a thermostat in the seat that regulates the output. Has any one else with a heated Hammock experienced anything like this?

I've never really turned mine on for just cool mornings, and almost never turn it on high unless it's cold enough to have thermal long johns on ad then it's just when I start out to get the seat warm faster.

I don't put mine on until winter so no real help from me, but I've never been able to use high for a whole ride.

I'm almost positive that the seat doesn't have a thermostat and that if you ask ten people who own this seat, they will all have different experiences e.g. takes mine 5 minutes to heat up, takes 10 for mine, gets really hot, not so much... On mine, high gets kind of hot like having your back side to campfire but bearable. Low is very warm and is nice on those very cool days and can even be therapeutic for stiffness on long rides or a hemorrhoid flare up.
