Hey...I tip the scales at 235# right now. I have 11,000 + miles on my bike. All by me. But this seat is driving me crazy. Longest road trip was 2,200 miles up to Maine and back. I think the seat should be broken in by now, but it's getting worse.

RE: Can anyone help me soften my seat?
Be glad to help, but what's soft?
Will a thousand miles of me in the seat be enough? would 20,000 miles be too much?
It's all subjective man!
But almost anyquality auto upholstery shop could add foam and a gel insert to make it better.
Or go buy an aftermarket one.
I don't think it's the foam is too stiff, but rather too soft and not enough of it. Least mine is.
HD uses cheap materials and makes a cheap seat. But they have to meet a price or the price of bike would go up equivocally.

RE: Can anyone help me soften my seat?
Follow the advice given previously and contact Allen from www.meancitycycles.com
Short story long...Desperate for a more comfortable seat than stock, I bought a HD comfort stitch for my Road King Classic. I suffered with that saddle for about two years and couldn't stand the ache in my shoulders any longer. After reading numerious posts about Mean City Cycles, I contact Allen and asked about having my comfort stitch adjusted to fit me. I had Allen add the hospital grade foam (read TempurPedic) and lower the drivers area two inches. He also added his triple decker to the wife's area. I sent my comfort stitch to Allen's for modification. On my way to Club H.O.G. in Knoxville I stopped by Allen's shop in Maiden, NC and switched saddles to my "new" comfort stitch. Oh-My-God!!! I could have ridden until my tank ran out of gas. MY saddle is now cut for me, built for me, and just right. And the wife? Remember the earlier, "read TempurPedic" statement? On our way back from Ocean City this weekend I felt the 'tap-tap-tap' of her helmet against mine as she dozed off to sleepy land from the comfort of her new saddle area. (thank goodness for bungi cords)
Contact Allen. Tell him what it is you're looking for, how tall you are, and what saddle you're needing to adjust. Allen will tell you what he can do, and what he can't do, and at a price we can all afford. What more can we ask for in a merchant for bike products.
Riding with the wind 'til the wind don't blow no more......
