I have 01 70k, 07 50k. Motors mounts are fine. I just removed 07 last month.
Evos had the filter in a different place. Volt regs have been a historic failure for Harleys. Old timers would carry a 2nd on trips.
Not sure why differentiate 08 and below. New TCs have the filter in the same spot, to my knowledge.

Thanks for the great write up and pics! Any long term issues? Will the stock HD filter fit that Derale adapter? I'm questioning the filter diameter, not the center post thread.. Thanks.

I like it. Can you post the link of the adapter on ebay? Any other parts that you used? I was just looking at the kits and kept thinking there was another way to do this.
