Helicoils and Time-serts are different products. I agree that done properly helicoils should not give problems, they are after all used extensively in aircraft engines of all types. Helicoils are designed for use in production applications, Time-serts are designed for repairs.

I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as many on here but, as far as I know, any of the 103s or 110s will bolt right up to what you have now.

Update: Thanks for everyone's input. Currently I've asked dealer to put numbers together for a 110 or 120 crate motor installation, if possible, in my bike. I'd go 120 ST but don't know yet if it can be done on an '09. I haven't been able to find a 110 crate type motor so that could be out too. 103" would be next consideration but they are under-powered compared to what I had and not attractive to me.....yet. Thanks again. Will update again when I know more.

I wanted to go 110 on my 07 thru horny toad hd in Tx. He told me he couldnt order a 110 for me.
