Unhappy FOB's Not Working

2015 Limited. I occasionally visit a local pub in town and the past two times I have been there, bike will not recognize either one of my fobs (with new batteries in them).

Warranty issue? or What could cause interference?

I generally keep my fob in my right front pocket all by itself.

Does anyone know where the security antenna is located?

I also took a meter to the new batteries, one is 2.9 and other is 3.1v.

I've had that issue when parked near high voltage electrical lines and when parked near a lot of other bikes, but only a few times over the last eight years.

If it always happens at that spot, try parking in a different area and see if the issue goes away.

What pub, what town? I'll stop in, you can buy me a drink and I'll see if it does it to my bike too. After we discuss the results, you can buy me another drink

Backstage, row of 4-5 parking spaces closest to the deck. Every time I am there, fob is useless.

That's interesting. Never stopped in there. Must be some sort of interference. I would imagine there are folks that ride to work at Global Foundries and don't suffer interference (where you think they would), but a bar in town?

This one is going to leave me scratching my head for a while. Nothing in HD documentation about interference that I can find.

I found on my bike if I had my fob in my cargo pocket, lower on the leg, the bike did not read it. My hip pocket was fine. I did change the battery after this and have not checked to see if a weak battery was the issue, but proximity definitely is.

The receiver is under the seat mounted near the battery. Just place the fob on the seat and start your bike, as that should do the trick in a high radio interference area. Some wireless home and business alarms operate on the same frequency as the fobs, perhaps that is what's causing the issue. Can you park your bike 50-100 feet away from where you experience this problem to see if
that clears it up?

if it always does it at that spot, but your bike will start elsewhere, then yes, i'd say there is some kind of interference. just look at it as practice for entering your override. you did change it and set it, right?

Had a problem like that on my 2010 Ultra, drove me crazy, tried everything, finally went to the dealer, ended up being a broken wire on the antenna for the alarm under the seat. Mine wasn't just in one spot it, wouldn't recognize the fobs anywhere. Replaced the wiring harness everything was good.
I must have damaged it some way when I changed my battery, and it broke the wire inside the insulation.
