I also have been using the same reusable billet style filter for the last two bikes. Just have new O rings on hand. Generally, they also have a magnetic area on the filter so you can review the content of the filter a little better. I change all the oil every 3K, yes it is overkill, but its my bike and it is reassuring that all is well.

 

Well bro if sacrificing oil in order to preserve your (and my) engine is overkill, its at least cheaper than sacrificing an engine in order to preserve the oil.

I'll do this version of overkill all day long. "Screw the high cost" !!
