Clutch drags when hot!

Clutch drags when hot!
My first Harley, had it a week today. When its hot, the clutch drags a little, just so you can't find neutral very east and it needs ever so little hold back to prevent it from moving forward when you are stopped at a stop sign in gear. I tried adjusting the clutch, but it doesn't seem to help. I'd like to know how to hold on to the adjuster screw with an allen wrench and torque the jam nut down at the same time. I couldn't hold onto the nut and allen key at the same time for loosening, so I used a cordless 3/8 impact gun. That worked fine but, like I said I'm a little confused about what kind of wrench to use to retighten. Is there anything else that would make it drag.
Also, I'm 2 1/2 hours from a harley shop so can I use any other oil in the primary besides HD.

Sounds like out of adjustment on clutch. Weld a nut on an 11/16" deep socket and then you can use wrench to adjust while you hold jam nut.
Perhaps an upgrade to a VPC pressure plate would not hurt either.
