Does anyone use the quick detach system with their lowers on a Rushmore bike?
I've got a set of denim pewter lowers from my 08 SG with a quick detach kit. When I get my Rushmore RG I'd like to re use the quick detach kit on a new set of lowers.

Are the air wings on the front fairing fixed or are they adjustable? I have the adjustable ones on my SG with lowers and rode thru south side of texas and into new mexico last june with no issues other then lack of water for me and coming from Michigan all the way, i can't take high heat i feel like Im melting when its like that.

I pull them off here in New England for summer if I am in a 300 mile radius running around local When I load up for vacation they do go back on for the rain control . But I had never thought about removing doors....good idea. Thanks!

I can truly say that I have not taken mine off in 7 years since I put them on when my rig was brand new.

Recently this Spring , my wrench took them off when I Upgraded my motor to 117". He said that its best to keep them off when you take off your Leather Jacket.

All I can say is, I miss them and they are going BACK ON!

They work miracles, period!

Default Movable Doors

I take off the movable doors when the weather starts heating up and it seems to blow warmer air on my right leg with them off but the engine does run cooler. It's just one nut in the little glove boxes in the lowers. There is a tab that rides in a groove to guide the doors and I have to be careful not to pull them too hard to remove them.

I can say that the Rushmore's have much improved doors over previous years. You can even direct the air where you want to the engine.

Default Harley Lowers Best Investment

I have a 2018 SGS. I purchased the OEM lowers. It was one of the best investments I made. Keep them on all year; both in cooler spring and fall rising and all summer. No heat issues and the vents in the newer style direct circulation perfectly. Spend the money on OEM. The quality is perfect. You won’t be
