Default Fuel Moto's new 2-1-2 headpipe?

Fuel Moto announced that they have a new 2-1-2 headpipe. Why? What does this one do that there existing 2-1-2 headpipe doesn't? Don't see the point? Other than its as much a many full systems.

Why don't you pose the question "why" to Fuel Moto?

The new one will be a nitrogen lined head pipe. Guaranteed to be the coolest exhaust on the market.

It now comes with the crossover and heat shields. My only complaint about the original fuel moto 2-1-2 head pipe is that I can never get the stock heat shields to line up perfectly as they did on the stock head pipe. On the past head pipe, you had to use the stock cross over pipe or pay extra for the fuel moto cross over pipe.

Looks like the price is higher now.

That's one spendy head pipe. I'll keep my S&S pipe thanks.

Yeah, I never understood why someone looking for an aftermarket pipe, would want to display stock heat shields......one of the many wonders of the universe.

Too funny.... I have the jackpot header 2-1-2 in ceramic stainless. Much "cooler" than OEM. Pricey too. Don't know how another could be "cooler" unless is was honeycombed with eskimo pee running through it.
As for bolting OEM heat shields on the header? One clamp was tough but worked. Looks great so don't need their new product. I'd love to see some pics real life to justify the money for the new setup.

amazing. someone did just that on their facebook page....

Tom Jones. Why release this? It's the same as the existing 2-1-2 except it comes with heat shields for almost twice as much.

Fuel Moto Tom Jones We appreciate the feedback however this is an entirely different exhaust system! It does share the same 2-1-2 style, however this system works not only on the 2009-current FLH frame, but also 1999-2006 & the 2007-2008 FLH frames. There is also a specially designed full size crossover and full coverage 2.5" heat shields included as well. In addition, the merge collector flows 20% more than our current 2-1-2 system which will produce more peak horsepower.

Flows 20% more than the Jackpot. Larger collector. Good from stock to 130+ hp. Maybe they plan to phase out the Jackpot and Jackpot XXX and just sell one style.

ETA: American Made too
