Exactly. It is all about the look ya are going for. Folks that say 2-1s don't look right just haven't been around them long enough...

Added a couple of my old bikes

Hippie and grbrown are right on the money. If you want to maintain a "traditional" look for your King, a 2-1 will look right at home!

Good points. Hadn't thought about that.

2 into 1 on every Harley I have, including my 2011 Road King.

I just went 2 into 1 on my street glide. I really was hesitant at first due to the fact that I like the balanced look but the sound of the 2 into 1 was way better and it also (to me) gives a meaner look.

i like the thought of the 2-1 for simplicity and all that, but it looks hideous on the left side. If you see one on the road you'll see it's like cutting your ear off. You'll get used to it, but people will stare.

I would have 2 into 1 or short side by side pipes if it weren't for the extended bags on my RK. It won't look right with the bags made to fit around the mufflers and not have mufflers there.

They look fabulous on a Touring bike....see for yourself. And the low end torque they generate is almost like having a cam....almost.
