Default Considering moto lights

Currently running daymaker reflector headlight and auxillary lights on my 14 sgs, but I need more! Considering the caliper mounted moto lights, anybody running them care to chime in? Do they provide that much additional light at night to make a noticeable difference? Is the $130 led upgrade worth it? Installing them, is there any splicing needed or are they plug and play?

I have the Moto's and would recommend them w/o hesitation. Caliper type intall was straight forward. Mine are Amber and work fine for fill-in lighting with HD Daymaker. I can't remember why but when I called Moto to buy the LED "upgrade", the owner recommended keeping the Amber. Also, no hassle warranty.

Does the harness come with the toggle switch that installs in one of the dummy slots by the ignition, or did u have to buy any extra parts or switches for the install. Assuming their kits come with everything pre wired so it is just plug and play

I have the caliper mounted Motolights with the 50 watt bulbs, plug and play and really nice quality. I actually don't ride much at night anymore but they do provide good light directly in front of the bike. What I really like about the lights is I run Trucklite Phase 7 lights (headlight and Spots) which I don't think are as visible during the day from certain angles, but the Motolights are always visible.

Some quick clips testing the lights. Second video is before I installed the Trucklites

I just bought some of these and mounted them on my bike, a hell of a lot cheaper than what you're looking at. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-18W-4inch...BXGcOK&vxp=mtr

Great video, thank you. Was gonna do the led upgrade for $130 but may just stick with the 50w bulb and save the cash. Under their order options, do I need the fl harness for my 14 sgs, and do I néed to purchase a switch for the dash or does the kit supply it

I'm not sure I think your wiring is a little different than a 11? I would call them, hint when I asked about the 50 watt upgrade (35 watt stock) they didn't charge me they threw it in at the time, maybe it was a special?

Hemi: I wired the Moto's into the passing/spot lights. When I press the "spot" toggle switch, spots and Moto's are on at same time mainly because of night riding.

Forgot to add, have it wired to the auxiliary switch, the harness was wired that way. I have separate control of the Motolights and Spots, I like to shut as much stuff down when starting the bike; just an old habit.
