Dealer just trying to suck you in to make a buck.
That's why I never go to dealers.

 

Do yourself a favor when you service the pads, clean the calipers good with some brake clean and a toothbrush. Pistons too till they work smoothly, just don't let them pop out the bore.

Well worth the trouble, I do it to my ride a few time a year, but especially whenever I have the caliper off.

that new pad there is about twice as thick as the new one that I got for my 2010.
