Like I said earlier, I never owned a T/C 96, but I did but a new '00 UC T/C 88.

I ran it Stage I for nearly 39,000 miles.
Once I had the Baker 6-spd installed, I knew that I needed more power.
During the following winter I had tbe "95" Big Bore kit installed and I couldn't believe how much more torque that upgrade provided.

I'm not a speed freak but I like the "passing" and towing (I have a small cargo trailer) and the extra torque was impressive.

I believe Fretting refers to a condition that occurs in the compensator but could be wrong.
