Those of you that are stating that the dealer has to "prove" that the aftermarket part caused a failure aren't quite correct. What actually happens is that the company says "we aren't going to provide you warranty service due to the "pipes/whatever" that you installed". It is then up to you to sue the manufacturer in order to force them to provide you with warranty coverage. That gets expensive and all they really have to do is get one of their engineers to provide a statement in deposition that the part you installed caused the engine to operate outside the parameters that the engine was designed for etc. In other words, all they have to do is deny the warranty work and then you have to start spending money to try to prove otherwise.

Shove a ball of cotton up your left nostril and breath in-and-out fast through the nose....then take the cotton out of the left nostril and try it again....get the picture?.....and don't ever forget that for a warranty to be voided under Federal law, the VOID-ER must prove that what you changed/did caused the problem that you want fixed....
Er. what you describe is the stock set-up on a king

What?!?!?!?! When he puts the cotton ball in his left nostril, he has to add the Y-Pipe. It's not completely blocked.

True Duals look great , have less heat on your leg and sound even better.

BUT over the long haul you will brake either the tranny mount or therear head pipe mount
every 10k miles. Plus lose some low end torque.

They are a pain in the ***.

You hit the nail right on the head. To take it one step more, how many are prepared to go into court and admit they are in violation of a federal law. I'd just about bet nobody has a big enough ***** to take a chance.

It's like your dealer doesn't have faith in his techs because there are HD dealers that will put true duals if that's what you wan't and back the bike personally I love my V&H Big Shot Duals Less Heat and sounds like a Harley and performs to.

That's why they have something called "treble damages". Basically you get triple-damages if a company is found to have purposely tried to screw you. All you need is a lawyer who will take the case on contigent..not hard to find one around these parts...
