Default 05 road king Transmission Shifter Shaft Assembly

trying to repair a shifter shaft on a 05 road king custom.
i hear there is a door and i do not have to take the tranny off the bike.
has anyone seen a video on this, or maybe an article about changing out this shifter shaft assembly?
thanks for looking,
stoney

It is a pretty involved job. The door is what's called a cartridge all the gears and shafts come out with it. They have to be moved anyway as they are in front of the shifter shaft.

You have to take the primary, inner and outer off. I had to replace mine on my 05 RK. Not that big of a deal
