i am to the point where i need tools. pulley holder $100, race bearing puller $200+, the race bearing walked, so i need a separator $50+. still haven't got all the parts needed, gaskets, seals, bolts, lock washers and so on. did get the shifter pawl from harley $102. willing to bet its not the right one, for what ever reason comes up. anyway, probably wont have update for awhile.

Replacing the inner seal on the front (sorocket) shaft.
I have pulled inner an outer primary,
and pulled of top of tranny inspection.

i am told that its possible to put two gears together to hold shaft. i will be putting two gears together to loosen nut on main output shaft (right side of tranny). what two gears, i do not know yet.
i like the home made socket you made. i am getting ready to paint my buddy's socket.
buddy just ordered the cheap race puller online. should be here in a week. will have pics soon.

Sorry been a minute.
I touched base with my indy. He had a replacement shaft for 35$. So I cut the old shaft off about where I thought the threads ended. Drilled a small hole to help get heat on the shaft.
Welded the bolt back together, applied a lil heat from a heat gun and my Sears rattle gun spun it off.
Thanks for your inputs
