Thanks Bafflingbs. That's good news for me. Consistent tone quality is what I was hoping for.

Obviously u guys probably can't tell for sure if u haven't heard the jackpots, but I assume the dnt's would be a fair amount louder and deeper than my jackpot's with comp baffles?

So I looked up an old thread where Jaimie at fuelmoto did some decibel testing and the comp baffles measured 89db idle and 100 set rpm, think this was with a stock head pipe though. In the video earlier in this thread they are measuring 116 db, not sure what head pipe the guy has in the vid though. Definitely want deeper and a bit louder, but nothing obnoxiously loud

Is that price shipped? If it is I'm gonna get a set

Default More questions.

All of this talk about the good sound is nice and all as I too am looking for sound, especially the deep rumble that comes with these pipes.

That being said I have heard that with both the CFR and DNT pipes both basically being wide open pipes that you will lose some performance.

Can anyone who is running either of these two pipes confirm or deny any loss of power and how significant the power loss is and where in the power band are the losses most noticeable.

Thanks

Good point, I would like to know as well. I have read the cfr's perform poorly due to the wide open baffle design but believe the dnt's perform better due to the 3 step baffle. Talked to Jaimie at fuel moto and he said I would lose some low end torque as opposed to my current setup, but how much are we talking? Would the lost torque be noticeable under normal riding conditions?

My buddy put them on his 2010 Street Glide CVO and said he lost a little torque off the bottom but not enough to make him rethink the muffs.
ETA: He does not ride two up but he said the difference is so slight even if he did it wouldn't make much of a difference.
