The last weekend is usually the best. Was going to head down Friday, but weather is starting to look iffy.

I'm not sure what to think. Looking at the weather and it looks like scattered storms. But I wonder if it will be like every other day in the summer where storms come through every afternoon? I don't mind a few passing storms, but I don't really feel like riding in a constant downpour for 4 hours each way

 

I just threw in the towel and cancelled my reservations for the weekend. Latest is 100% chance of rain on Saturday.

Sucks

 

My group rode down from Michigan on the 11th and hung out until Monday when the forecast was looking iffy. We were supposed to stay from Wednesday-Wednesday but the weather forced us out on Monday. We did a lot more riding than we did sitting at events and bars, but if I return I would like to visit the events more. It's just hard to not ride smooth roads when you're used to Michigan roads. For being outlet first long ride and bike rally we learned a lot and over all I had a lot of fun.

 

Yep. don't mind riding in the rain to get there. Just don't want to spend time there in the rain. Making my decision Thursday.

 

What did you decide? I'm having a hard time figuring out what it's going to do

 

I was out there Monday and Tuesday. The rain really sucks for everyone trying to have a good time. Bad luck with this rally. I was at Suck Bang Blow and it was pretty empty. North Murrells was pretty dead too.

 

I'm home now,left yesterday. I can get rained on all week for free at home. Most disappointed I've been in Myrtle in probably 10 years or so.

 

I will say that there were a lot of bikers out there braving the rain. They were riding regardless, so there is that. Been a bad few rallies for Myrtle Beach. They can't get a break from the weather.
