I'm actually considering going to painted hard bags on my Classic, which seems to have morphed into a Road King "Restomod".

I like the look of the Classic bags, but paint matched hard bags would also look great. Not really worried about locking though, just a different look.

Thoughts?

I think painted hard bags on a road king classic looks great...I think that’s really the only difference between the classic and the other road king. The bags and the emblems. But yeah, I have a classic and would also prefer to have hard bags

A classic has the plate mounted above the tail light, spoked wheels, white walls and leather bags.

I like both types of bags. Thats the beauty/versatility of a Road King. Just due to lock ability though, I usually have the hard bags on.

I think the white bike looks better with the hard bags because its white and stands out - looks great. My black RKC that no longer resembles a classic looks great with the leather bags. I think if I went hard bags it would look more common. I get a lot of compliments on the fact it doesn't have hard bags.
