Anyone fitted the JW Speaker model 8790 adaptive headlight?

The 8790 has been out for a year now. I'd converted to a 7" bucket on my Breakout and had an 8700 for about 14 months, and bought the 8790 when they were still available discounted for $640 (5/16). I'd still buy it at the $800 price because it's just that much better. Here's some night pictures - left & right low speed turns, and on the road - Hi & Lo beam. In the turns you can see the bright cutoff that the 8700 has, and the extra block elements the 8790 adds.

Good luck with that one. When they first came out they were only available through Drag Specialties dealers. I managed to get one discounted to $640, but since then all the DS dealers are towing the $799 price line. (Including where I got mine.)

90/130 watt H4 bulb from Amazon $13...high heat pigtail same source, 15 for two same source. Can weld with it in a pinch. Throw in a couple of aircraft landing bulbs for yer spots wired in with a Bosch relay and 14 gauge wire. ..and you'll turn midnight into noon mo' ricky tick!
Just sayin. ..buy whiskey and stogies with the savings...
