If I had a 2007 model year Harley with 6500 miles on it I'd take the money and buy some gasoline. There isn't a bit of difference in performance between a 2007 and a 2016 sitting in the garage.
Or as my grandpa used to say; "A wink's as good as a nod to blind mule".
The fact that the brakes are linked is not something i personally like. I have ridden a harley with the linked brakes. I have opinions on the target audience for them. I am coming from sport bikes and track days. it's just not for me. I like control over both ends for different situations. Personal preference.

I agree with you on that I wouldn't won't ABS on the new roadster
You could ays get 1996-1998 evo bagger {same frame as you have now} Get a touring brace throw in a 6 speed and a 127 and smoke all the "new" bikes. after the mods and after you sell yr 2007 you should still have 5-6k in your pocket.
If I was in your shoes I would get the 107 kit from Fuel Moto... I wasn't, I have a 2007 with 91000 miles so I bought a 2015 103HO with 10000 miles on it for $2000.00
