Where to Catch 40 Winks on Roadtrip?

This is a really good topic. I tend to get drowsy on trips in my cage, and can pull over nearly anywhere for 40 winks. But, not the same on a bike.
In addition to the good suggestions in this thread, how about?:
- bring a small blanket. Pull into a fast food place, put the blanket beside the bike, and get 40 winks leaning against the bike. With the blanket it looks premeditated...and hopefully people won't think you had a stroke.
- outside tables at a fast food restaurant. But something to eat or drink, and put it. On the table. Lay your head down, like in high school history class, and take a nap.

Can't count how many times I have found a little municipal park and gone to sleep on top of a concrete picnic table. Use my jacket as a pillow. Would only do it in the daytime and never at night. My wife was sort of embarrassed when I went to sleep on a bench visiting Plymouth Rock on Cape Cod one day. Hey, I was tired and there was this bench and I got my power nap. Wife said that people were walking by and a few commented on this sleeping bearded guy. I never heard the comments<grin>.

If you haven't considered it, you may want to take a look at taking the Natchez Trace highway that runs from just south of Nashville down to Natchez, MS and right near Vicksburg.
The "Trace" is a two-lane, 55 MPH speed limit road that is a very peaceful ride.
It would be a good one day ride from your hometown down to Nashville and then another easy one day ride to Vicksburg.
Have fun and stay safe.
