Default Fork Lock

Anybody having problems with their fork locks. I unlocked mine with the key turned it and it pulled right off, and my steering was still locked. It took about three or four times messing with it before it unlocked.

Is the ignition switch popping up when you unlock it?

I had a similar problem. I make sure there is no/less tension on the lock by moving the handlebar a little if it seems to be hanging up. Worked for me.

I had this happen to me when I was in Daytona for bike week. After a few times with unlocking the forks issues the bike wouldn't start. It was towed to the dealer and they ended up replacing the entire switch.

There is a small button that is underneath ignition switch ****. It is located on the back left side. This button release the ignition switch ****. It your ignition **** is popping up, then the **** is not seated properly. There is a thread with a video in this forum that tell you how to remove and replace the ignition switch **** or go by the service manual. If you did not follow these directions, you can screw up the ignition switch functions.
