I installed LED light bulbs on the turn signal lights and the rear tail light and cause major radio interference. Removed the LED bulbs and replaced with stock bulbs and the interference went away.
Anyone else experience this problem. What did I do wrong? Do I need to install special LED bulbs?

Did you install a signal stabilizer along with the LED bulbs? On your '12 Ultra, you need to install some kind of a signal stabilizer along with the LED bulbs.

Where did you buy your LED bulbs from? I got my whole set from Custom Dynamics and they are great to work with.

 

I installed LEDs to my bike and when I ran the wiring from the battery compartment back to the tour pack, I followed the antenna and other cables. When using turn signals I would get interference. Move the wiring away from the antenna cable, problem solved.

 

some of the stiff sold ( ebay etc) is not DOT or FCC compliant.
interference like that can play havoc with the bike's computer.
