Default Two different rims same bike from MOCO

Here is a strange one...anyone ever heard of a bike coming from the factory with two different rims on it? I have a 2011 road King that I bought used...nothing indicates it was in a wreck and guy said he told me about every mod and that everything was stock except stage 1, had all work done at dealer and he seems like a trust worthy dude. front has the older style stepped rim spoke wheel and rear is the newer style "smooth" spoke rim. Never noticed it until now.

I know my local dealer once got a new bike in that had two different colored fenders on it.

I do not think the "profile" front rim came out until a few years after your year. likely a swap.

A lot of time a guy can buy a take off wheel and tire cheaper than you can go to a dealer and buy a tire and have it installed. It's very possible the seller found a craigslist deal on a wheel and tire and smacked it on there.

I think the 2011 RKC had an optional aluminum laced spokes which can accommodate tubeless tires. The original owner could have put one on.

Now you can look for a used low profile front rim to match the rear one.Definitely didn't come from factory like that.

I think I actually like the stepped rim better. Neither say tubeless on them.
