I'm out of the power business now. After retiring from the USAF and doing private contracting in Afghanistan, I decided to get into the golf course maintenance business.

OK, I'm a lineman, I assumed by your name that you must be involved in the trade...

Yeah I chose the name while I was still in the trade. I do miss it and the money at times but enjoy the golf business more.

I was recently in a similar situation. I was trading in my Breakout for a touring bike and I was looking at the Street Glide Special. The dealer had a 2014 CVO Road King so i rode tested both. I couldn't decide between a new SGS or a bad*ss CVO. In the end CVO was way cheaper and when someone told me , as corny as it sounds pick the one that makes you feel like the crush you had in high school, I remembered that after both rode test all I could do is think about the Road King. So i got it and i love it. Good luck on your choice. Here's mine,

Looks like the girlfriend never got out much. Was she a bad date? If so, stick with the wife.

I'd get the standard. CVOs are tacky & too "trendy".

The '16 will lose value as soon as you sign the paperwork. Someone else already took the hit on the King which will be worth just what you paid for it the day after and will hold value.

I say get the CVO and the and then sell me the stock wheels for cheap!

No question, I'd jump all over the '14 CVO. Those things are sweet.

Ok, I got this.... If you are a hands on guy and love wrenching on your scoot, have the place and the tools to wrench, get the 16.

If you just want to throw your leg over and enjoy the bells and whistles, and the power of the 110, then go with the CVO.

I bought a stock RK and love wrenching, been a mechanic my whole life, so I made my bike into what it is today by trading on forums, ebay, craigslist and so on. I am almost done (yeah, right) all I feel I have to do left is bars.
