Well I tached in 4 spots, installed leaks like crazy going to take off grind tachs try and get the flanges to sit more flush against the header lip the tachs made it uneven. If this don't work it's gone haha
I would toss those pipes. Probably bad manufacturing from the get go or someone did something to them causing them to break. Last thing you want is to have your repair break apart while cruising down the highway far from anything.
You hafta' weld all around the headers lip to get a seal coming from the exhaust port. If you're not proficient at welding a small running bead, take it to a shop that does welding for a living and let a professional do it.
Welded and sealed, they work fine but this summer I'll sell them and put dresser duals on which is what I wanted and bought these used miscommunication but thought I'd try them. Thanks for the help guys
That looks like Silver Solder to me.
It's actually a lot cleaner and easier than welding to do.
It's hard to imagine it let loose, the melt point is over 800 degrees.
