Default Long Distance on a Street Glide

How do Street Glide riders pack up their bikes for long distance trips? The radio antenna comes up right night to the detachable luggage rack, so its in the way of anything that would be on the rack. Do you guys remove the antenna when packing luggage on a luggage rack?

Asking because I relocated one my CB antenna to that spot when I detached my Tour Pak on the Limited (radio antenna is in the fairing). Looks real good, but now I'm wondering how functional it will be if I want to pack up a luggage rack.

misread that. street glides dont come with the cb antenna so that's kinda a mute point. I actually re-routed my regular antenna to run along the frame, may be an option.

Just buy the short antenna. Problem solved.

The antenna on the street glide isn't that upright. When I have a bag on the back, it barely touches the bag:

Never been a problem for me, I just move it out of the way and let it rest against whatever large bag I have strapped to the luggage rack. The antenna is very flexible for a reason you know.

Take a look at the photos. Both the whip antenna and the shorty are in the way of whatever you put on a rack. I'm not sure why it would be different on the Street Glide than it is on the Limited. Same frame, same bracket for the antenna, etc...

What rack are you using? Would you mind send a pick of it?

Ah...the picture in the first post made it look more upright. Anway...It's flexible. It rests on the bag. Not a big deal.

Heard about guys doing this, but can't imagine how it would be done. Got any pics? I put the radio antenna in the fairing. The CB antenna works better in the open with as much height as possible.

A friend is borrowing it right now so I can't get a pick, but it's Harley's "King H-D Detachables Two-Up Luggage Rack"
