Default 2000 Road King Classic Rim Fitment Question

Can anyone tell me if a 1994 Harley Davidson FXR Super Glide solid rear rim with 3/4" bearings will fit my 2000 Road King Classic? I know that the bearings are the right size but I am worried about whether my pulley and brake rotor will be a direct bolt on. Also concerned if that particular rim is 16 x 3.

I found it online and want to pull the trigger but want to make sure that it will fit and be ready to go, I don't want another project before the riding season.

Anyone that can help is also welcome to email me at work at jvasiliadis@edgewell.com if you like.

Thanks!!!!!
John

Red face

No it won't be a direct bolt-on. Your bike has the later rear caliper and smaller thinner rotor, so that FXR wheel won't work. If you want a solid disc style wheel then look for a Fat Boy one from a similar year to your bike. You can check compatibility on-line here.

Thanks for the advice. I will look for a Fat Boy one. My assumption is that if I got a FB rear wheel for bikes in the 2000-2008 range I should be alright. Your thoughts? A solid rim is what I am after for sure.

Thumbs up

Certainly 2000 to 2007 should work fine. My bike is older, so I had to change swingarm and caliper, but I have squeezed a Duece wheel in, so am on the same wavelength!
