Default 2005 FLHPI ABS Mods

In the process of rebuilding my 05' FLHPI again and I have switched wheels a few times but the last time and the forthcoming time I haven't utilized the reluctor ring for the ABS on the front. Has anyone used the newer style ABS bearings in conjunction with the older system? My hard lines are about done and at $400+ just to purchase them I'm starting to think about removing the ABS altogether.

Anyone even attempt this?

Or do I just ditch the ABS altogether?

Good question, it will be interesting to see what others say. ABS is one of those technologies which takes big strides from one version to the next, so it may not be possible. The change over from ring to bearing is quite an imaginative step.

I couldn't find any mention around the interwebz so I went ahead and bought 09+ Brembo's for the front and rear and I'll gut the ABS system. I'm more interested in going to Microsquirt and tuning by laptop than figuring out ABS.
